AFTERCARE
until next time...

EYELASH EXTENSIONS
-Contact lenses will need to be removed prior to treatment and cannot be used straight afterwards, so please bring glasses to wear after your appointment.
-Be gentle with your lashes for the first 48 hours – no rubbing and don't sleep face-down on your lashes.
-Do not get your lashes wet for the first 48 hours, no heat & steam (includes saunas, hot tubs, intense workouts).
-No spray tans 48 hours before or after treatment.
-No make-up for 48 hours.
-Avoid oily skincare or make-up.
-No heavy drinking for 48 hours as this causes you to sleep in funny positions on your face that will affect your lashes.
-No other facial beauty treatments 24 hours before or after treatment
-Wash your eyelash extensions with eyelash cleanser every few days. Make sure you use the appropriate cleanser on cashmere or Noir lashes. Cleansers can be purchased at your appointment – including Aftercare Lash cleansing foam, with a gentle brush and mascara wand (£10).

All of the above is to ensure you do not lose your extensions and keep your natural lashes healthy. Please note the glue is still curing for the first 48 hours. To maintain the look of your extensions, you will need infills every 2 weeks.

If you have had a treatment, or you are thinking about it, please take time to read the before and aftercare advice. It is important you fully understand what you should do both before and after a treatment in the interest of your safety, health and wellbeing, and to ensure you get the best results and avoid disappointment. Ensuring you read this, will maximise and prolong the benefits & results of your treatment. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact me.
EAR & NOSE PIERCINGS
-Follow the aftercare instruction sheet given to you at the end of your appointment.
-Clean the pierced area 2-3 times a day with the aftercare solution provided with a cotton bud. Wash and sanitise your hands before doing so to ensure everything is clean.
-When cleaned, slightly twist the stud from the front not the back.
-Be gentle with your piercing, avoid touching unless cleaning.
-Healing times for piercings - ear lobes 6 weeks, nose 8 weeks, cartilage 12 weeks. Please note these periods indicate when you can change the piercing studs, but to ensure they are fully healed, it will take up to 6 months so you should always have a stud in.
-You can now choose to purchase an advanced aftercare solution that speeds up the healing process for earlobes to 3 weeks and cartilage to 8 weeks. This can be purchased at your appointment for £4. Please note, it is not possible to use the advanced formula on nose piercings.
-For nose piercing, please purchase some micro tape to attach over the piercing when swimming, doing workouts etc during the healing process.
- For ear piercings, do not push the butterfly clips tighter. The reason they seem slightly looser is to ensure enough room for cleaning and any swelling. Please refer to your aftercare sheet for correct positioning.

EYELASH LIFT/EYEBROW LAMINATION
-Contact lenses will need to be removed prior to treatment and cannot be used straight afterwards, so please bring glasses to wear after your appointment.
-Be gentle with your lashes/brows for the first 48 hours – no rubbing and no sleeping
face-down on your lashes/brows.
-Do not get your brows/lashes wet for the first 48 hours, and no heat and steam, including saunas, hot tubs, intense workouts.
-No spray tans 48 hours before or after treatment.
-No make-up for 48 hours.
-Avoid oily skincare or make-up.
-No other facial beauty treatments 48 hours before or after treatment.
-Apply eyelash/eyebrow serum 48 hours after treatment 3-4 times a week.
This is all to ensure you do not manipulate the shape/direction of the hairs from the treatment, and will prevent them from going frizzy. Eyelash lift/eyebrow lamination last 6-8 weeks, providing the correct aftercare is followed.
NAILS
-Cuticle oil should be applied every day and after showering to keep your nails nourished, stimulate growth and prevent lifting. This can be purchased at your appointment, £2.50 each. Twelve different scents are available in an easy-to-use, portable, twistable pen (great to keep in your handbag).
-Always wear rubber gloves when cleaning, washing or gardening. Always wash your hands thoroughly after being in contact with chlorine, insect repellent or sun cream.
-Do not use your nails as tools. Never pick off the product otherwise it will damage your natural nail.
-Do not file your nails or push back cuticles as this will break the seal of the gels and lead to chipping and peeling.
-Apply hand and foot cream daily to keep skin and nails nourished.
This is all to ensure you get the best results out of your nail treatment. Providing the above is followed, you should get 3 weeks wear – treatment recommended every 3-4 weeks. Toes will last longer.

FACIALS
-Do not have any treatments on the face, neck, shoulders and head up to 48 hours after treatment.
-Drink plenty of water.
-Wash the products off 24 hours after treatment.
-Take it easy 24 hours after treatment.
-No sunlight 24 hours after treatment. This is to protect your skin aftercare treatment.
-Follow the tailored individual skincare regime given to you to get the best results.
This is all to ensure you get the best results out of your facial treatment and also to ensure your skin is protected. Providing the correct aftercare is followed, facial treatments are recommended every 4 weeks.

WAXING
-A light soreness, redness and small bumps are common and temporary normal reactions after waxing - you can apply antiseptic cream, aloe vera gel and/or ice to the treated area to help alleviate any irritation.
-Avoid anything that could irritate your delicate skin in the first 48 hours, including exfoliating, strong sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, synthetic clothes, and steamy, hot baths.
-Wear loose clothing for the first 48 hours so that is does not rub against the treated area.
-Try not to touch or rub the area.
-If you have had facial waxing, no make-up for 24 hours to avoid irritation.
-No perfume or perfumed lotions on the waxed area for 24 hours.
For long-term improvements, book in for regular treatments (every 4-6 weeks). You could notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so. It can take up to four treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results. Before waxing, your hair needs to be at least 5mm long before it can be successfully removed by waxing, so do not shave between treatments. For in-growing hairs, use an exfoliator.

SPRAY TAN
In general, your spray tan should last around 7-10 days – but it will gradually start to fade before this time. This is because the skin will naturally continue to regenerate itself, and your old skin cells will be sloughed away over the week to reveal your paler skin beneath.
But there are a few things to keep in mind when looking at this. These include how well your skin holds on to a natural tan, how often you’re exfoliating your skin, and how warm your showers and baths are, to name a few. However, there are a few things you can avoid, which can help your tan stay true for longer.
- Soaking in the bath will cause the colour to fade, so keep bubble baths to a minimum if you want your tan to stick around.
-Moisturising daily will make a huge difference when it comes to retaining your golden glow too, so don’t skimp on your applications. This also has the bonus of keeping your skin silky smooth.
-Showering can remove colour, so be aware that your washing routine will affect the longevity of your spray tan.
-Do not exfoliate for the first 7 days.
If you are getting the spray tan for a special event, I recommend getting it done 48 hours beforehand to ensure the best results.
